Gramma's

Last weekend, we went to Billings. Ed's brother came also which meant that all the cousins were together to play. Then the boys all played in the garage and Peggy and I were able to get some sewing. It was a good weekend together.

Saturday

We finally were able to stay home on Saturday. Well, we didn't actually stay home all day, but didn't have specific plans for the day. I did take the girls to the mall for a valentine craft and lunch. Afterwards they wanted to to go the park. The temperature was in the low 50's, so it was a great day to play.

Halee calls this park the spider web park!
Ed spend the day installing baseboard trim upstairs. He got all the bedrooms and bathrooms done. We have 2 bonus rooms that don't have carpet in them, so those don't have baseboards either. I will go see about carpet next week. He also installed the remaining light fixtures. I need to get a bathroom mirror and then some cleaning and such and it will be ready to sell.
We have had a problem with our water heater vent. If the wind blows from the west, it closes the vent and shuts off the hot water. If we are home it's not too big of a deal because we just switch it back on. But, if we are gone for the weekend, it's a big deal because no heater! That happened this winter and that weekend the highs were below zero. It took about a week to get our house heated back up! Ed has tried several things to prevent the vent from closing. This is his latest idea:
A bird house around the vent. The top of the bird house is open for the air to flow. So far so good, but it has only been 4 days and no wind! The girls wanted to know why there wasn't a hole for the birds to go in. Ed said he would paint one on there. Hannah didn't think that would be a good idea because birds would try to go in the hole and then bump their heads and die because it wasn't really a hole!
