Thanksgiving Trip to Texas

We began our trip with a stop in Denver.  We toured the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.

We were able to enjoy some time with my family in Denver with dinner at Beau Jo's Pizza and some visiting at my uncle & aunt's.  We then ventured on to my grandmothers in Clovis, NM.  As always, we got some card games in.
We helped my Granny do some chores around her house.  One of the chores was raking leaves.  The kids were so excited to actually have a pile of leaves to jump in!
Once in Amarillo, TX, we visited the Discovery Center with my mom and niece, Emily.

This is my grandmother who is 91 years old.  Isn't she beautiful?  Well, I think so, but I am a bit partial!
This is my niece, Emily.  The girls were quite excited to play with her.
We had Thanksgiving Dinner at the Big Texan.  Boy, was that an experience!

Thanksgiving afternoon, we took some time to see a few sights around Amarillo.  These are the stone legs.
 And Cadillac Ranch
On our way home, we made a pit stop at the American Girl store.  How exciting to walk away with 2 brand new American Girl dolls!
Almost 2,500 miles, 8 days, traveling through 5 states, we are back home again!

Your grandmother is amazing!! I look older than her now.... Your trip sounds fabulous and now I understand a little better why a certain young lady placed a doll on Ed's lap this morning during worship. So cute.
